As you watch Russia perpetuate it's brutal assault upon Ukraine and it's nuclear facilities, which include Chernobyl, you may find it ironic that our former cold war opponents are fighting over independence as America did 246 years ago.

I might have become a part of that war also, after taking part in a Williams College Psychology Department experiment on hypnotism in 1978, when I was 14 or 15.
A friend from Lille, Maine and Van Buren named Alphena also might have become part of it as her husband, who had been deployed to the war in Vietnam shortly after they were married, eventually became a NATO diplomat for the US Army, and she travelled throughout Europe and the Holy Land with him as part of his duties, as she explained, because president Kennedy had changed the law into allowing military wives to live with their husbands wherever they were stationed that wasn't an active war zone.
Ukraine was asked if it wanted to join NATO but the Ukrainian president at the time, a Putin sympathizer, refused.
NATO is a mutual defense treaty created during the cold war to prevent any nation from starting another world war 1 or world war 2 or else the member nations would be legally obligated to gang up on the aggressor and punish it. Putin almost had Russia join NATO.
NATO forces invaded Afghanistan because it was accused of perpetrating the 9/11 attacks to start a war.
Alphena got to visit Lourdes in France where St Bernadette was born and grew up, then where Bernadette discovered her famous spring, which Alphena described wading in with two nuns holding her arms.
If you order holy water online it probably comes from St Bernadette's spring.
Alphena said she also got to visit the man who discovered or owned (I forget which now) the dead sea scrolls when she was in Israel.
She said she and her son were in a bowling alley in Italy when an earthquake occurred there, and she visited the church door Martin Luther attached his articles to in Germany.
Curiously, she also said she got to visit East Germany, describing travelling through Check point Charlie in Berlin.
Which bothered me after she told me after she returned to the U S, someone had once tried to hypnotize her.
Vladimir Putin was a KGB agent who had been stationed in Dresden, East Germany from 1985-1990.
Alphena's son was dating a beautiful Russian national named Natasha when I met Alphena in 2014, and something terrible happened to her son's son around that time in Florida, involving a U S customs agent, that might have been an attempt to subvert national security.
Alphena became a resident of Borderview Nursing and Rehab just about when covid was introduced into the U S, and for some reason there were some people doing mean things to her there.
Now she says they've stopped doing those things and she is much happier

Many of the people don't know Alphena used to be the Activities Director and Housekeeping Director at Borderview back when, as I recall her explaining it, the Buldocs, who had converted it from a motel to a nursing home (there is a swimming pool in the basement), owned it and then later sold it to Mr Pelletier, who now lives in the yellow/goldish brick house at the base of Marion Drive.
As I write this on February 6th, 2022, I had overheard at the library last week that all of Marion Drive had been quarranteened because of covid, the week before.
Alphena said, if I remember correctly, that Mr Pelletier had said he was going to make a million dollars in five years running Borderview and then retire.
You probably wonder why I write about this stuff.
I've explained many times that the more I tell, the more I find out, and the more I find out the more I can tell.
I've gotten to know about a dozen people pretty well and discovered something amazing.
Everyone I've gotten to know well had these amazing lives you wouldn't imagine of them until you got to know them.
Which, according to rules of probability and statistics, proves almost everyone probably has an amazing, fascinating life, but maybe some people just don't realize it yet.
With Alphena there is another reason.
She is forgetting these fascinating things she's done and places she has visited.
Alphena cares about her sister, Maryann, very much, and asks me about Maryann every time I call her.
But Maryann told me Alphena doesn't remember her when Maryann visits her.
I don't understand this.
One day Maryann stopped by with Alphena where I live and it was the first time I had seen Alphena in over a year, and she appeared to remember me.
It was Maryann in the driver's seat and Maryann's car, I've seen her in it a hundred times, lots of times with Alphena in the passenger seat.
Alphena asked me 'Who is this ?' while pointing at Maryann as they were parked in front of my apartment.
Alphena told me once that the people in the office at Borderview back when she worked there tried to hypnotize her.
She said they were just doing it for fun, and she wasn't hypnotized.
Which is exactly what I thought when the Williams College Psychology Department did their experiment on my teammates and I in 1978.

alphena's son mark had a russian girlfriend named natasha yaroshenko while he was manager of a ruby tuesday's in jacksonville around 2015
because of this story i just found out mark was kind of a hero after a man began firing a gun outside a jacksonville panera bread mark had become the manager of also in 2019, and mark shepherded the customers inside a walk in cooler - causing one of them to claim mark had saved their lives:
'After shots were fired outside Panera, the manager rushed everyone inside the walk-in freezer. One customer credits that manager for saving his life.'

i had remembered natasha's last name because she had looked just like one of the galactic rangers i believe i had created after going crazy in 1997
